Typical US prices in 2026 for a middle-of-the-road budget. Formula about $200 a month; breastfeeding about $20 (pads, bags, bottles). Disposable diapers and wipes about $85 a month; cloth about $400 up front then $25 a month for washing. Solid food from month 6 about $50 a month. Childcare varies the most: about $900 to $2,000 a month for full-time care depending on state and type, so type your own quote. The birth bill depends on your plan; people with insurance often pay close to $3,000 out of pocket, so check your deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. Many plans cover a breast pump for free. Edit any number to match your quotes. A planning estimate, not financial advice.
