How it is worked out

Swap: people times cookies each, plus the tasting table, rounded up to whole batches of each cookie you picked. Everyone usually bakes one dozen per person and takes home the same number, so you bake for yourself too. Oven time is the number of sheet rounds times the bake time plus 2 minutes to swap sheets, with 12 cookies per sheet (9 for big cut-outs). Store sizes: flour about 3.6 cups per pound, white sugar 2.25 cups per pound, packed brown sugar 2.25 cups per pound, powdered sugar 3.75 cups per pound, chocolate chips 2 cups per 12 oz bag, butter 4 sticks per pound. Ovens and scoop sizes differ, so bake one test sheet first.
